DESCRIPTION

AA77AB0 is a miniature thermal cutoff (TCO) device designed to provide overtemperature and overcurrent protection for lithium polymer and prismatic battery cells. It features a trip temperature of 77 °C ± 5 °C with a reset temperature of 40 °C minimum, enabling rapid response to abnormal thermal conditions. The device offers high current capacity with a contact rating of DC 9 V / 35 A (1000 cycles), maximum breaking current of DC 5 V / 60 A (100 cycles), and maximum voltage rating of DC 28 V / 35 A (100 cycles), combined with low impedance of 2 milliohms maximum and maximum leakage current of 200 mA at 25 °C. The AA77AB0 is commonly used in battery cell protection applications for notebook PCs, tablet PCs, and smartphones, where it controls abnormal excessive current virtually instantaneously up to rated limits.
