DESCRIPTION

ISOM3-175-B-L2 is a hybrid protection component from Bourns that combines metal oxide varistor (MOV) and gas discharge tube (GDT) technologies to provide superior surge protection in a single compact device. The component features a maximum continuous operating voltage (MCOV) of 175 V RMS (225 V DC), with operating leakage less than 10 µA at MCOV and nominal capacitance of 30 pF at 20 kHz. It delivers exceptional energy handling with 3,000 A surge current capability for 15 operations and 6,000 A for 10 operations, along with ring-wave tolerance and a maximum clamping voltage of 50 V at 200 A. The in-line lead configuration (L2) with 0.8 mm wire diameter and 7.5 mm lead spacing enables easy PCB integration. This hybrid design is ideal for AC and DC power applications requiring premium performance, extended temperature range operation, low capacitance, and minimal leakage current, making it suitable for industrial power supplies, telecommunications equipment, and renewable energy systems.
