DESCRIPTION
MOV-07D511K is a 7 mm radial leaded metal oxide varistor designed to protect against overvoltage transients such as lightning, power contact, and power induction in power supplies, power systems, and telecom applications. The device features a maximum continuous voltage rating of 320 V RMS (415 V DC), a nominal varistor voltage of 510 V at 1 mA, and a maximum clamping voltage of 845 V at the 10 A class current (8/20 µs pulse). It delivers a maximum peak current handling of 30 A (8/20 µs) with a maximum energy absorption of 1200 J and exhibits a fast response time of 10–25 ns. The varistor operates across a temperature range of -40 °C to +105 °C with a typical capacitance of 120 pF and is RoHS compliant with UL 1449 certification. These characteristics make it ideal for protecting sensitive electronics in industrial and commercial equipment from transient overvoltage events.
