DESCRIPTION
PWR163S-25-R500J is a 25 W DPAK-style surface mount power resistor designed for high-frequency and high-power applications. It features a resistance value of 0.5 O with ±5% tolerance, low inductance of 0.1 µH maximum, and a thermal resistance of 5.2 °C/W, making it ideal for power supplies, motor drives, and rectifier circuits. The resistor operates over a temperature range of -55 °C to 155 °C with a temperature coefficient of ±100 PPM/°C, and supports an operating voltage up to 250 V. Its electrically isolated backplate, excellent pulse characteristics, and compatibility with lead-free solder reflow processes make it suitable for current limiting, capacitor discharge circuits, and high-frequency amplifier applications in audio and wireless base stations.
