DESCRIPTION
The 7-5L is a Chem-Wik® Rosin desoldering braid designed for heat-sensitive electronic components, featuring a 0.075 inch (1.91 mm) width with pure copper braid construction and Type R organic flux coating. The braid offers superior thermal conductivity and responds approximately 50% faster than conventional desoldering braids, minimizing overheating risk and requiring minimal operator contact pressure. It is halide-free, requires little or no post-solder cleaning, and leaves no corrosive residues, making it ideal for removing solder from thru-hole components, surface mount device pads, BGA pads, micro circuits, terminals, and identification script. The product meets military specifications including MIL-F-14256F and is available in 5-foot bobbins with a 2-year shelf life from the manufacturer date.
