DESCRIPTION
The 80-1-5 is a Soder-Wick Rosin Flux desoldering braid featuring pure copper construction with rosin Grade WW, Type "R" flux formulation. This product is engineered with lighter mass copper braid construction that provides superior thermal conductivity even at low temperatures, allowing faster desoldering action compared to conventional braids while minimizing overheating and preventing PCB damage. The braid is available in Size 1 (0.030 inches / 0.8 mm width) with a 5-foot length, packaged on static dissipative bobbins that meet MIL-STD-1686C and MIL-HDBK-263B standards. It is designed to safely remove solder from thru-hole components, SMT pads, BGA pads, micro circuits, terminals, and lugs, making it ideal for precision rework operations where heat-sensitive components require protection.
