DESCRIPTION
MC12FA221J-F is a Type MC multilayer RF capacitor featuring 220 pF capacitance with a 100 Vdc voltage rating in a 1210 case package. This capacitor utilizes a natural mica dielectric that delivers extremely high Q at UHF/VHF frequencies, with high RF current capability rated at dV/dt of 20,000 V/µs. The device is free from thermal cracking and FR4 compatible, exceeds 2 mm bend test requirements, and demonstrates rock-stable performance with no change over time, voltage, or frequency variations. It is wave solderable and available in tape and reel packaging with ±5% capacitance tolerance. Common applications include MRI coils and generators, RF instruments, power amplifiers, tuned LCR circuits, CATV systems, mobile radio, and software-defined frequency-hopping radio systems.
