DESCRIPTION
The GFTX-5 is a 5-terminal turret-type solder pin terminal block from Curtis Industries' Series GFT/GB, designed for industrial electrical interconnections. It features a current rating of 20 amps (UL and CSA), with voltage ratings up to 300 volts (CSA) and 150–600 volts (UL, depending on application class), and a breakdown voltage of 3,600 V (terminal-to-terminal) and 5,800 V (terminal-to-ground). The block incorporates tin-plated brass turret-type solder pins with 11.11 mm (7/16") center-to-center spacing, a phenolic housing material rated for continuous use at 150°C (302°F), and supports wire sizes from No. 22 AWG to No. 12 AWG. The GFTX designation indicates thermoplastic molding construction, providing durability and break resistance with full 1/4" terminal-to-ground clearance suitable for sub-chassis or thru-panel applications. This terminal block is ideal for feed-thru, printed circuit, or surface connection applications in industrial control systems, instrumentation, and general electrical distribution where reliable solder-pin termination is required.
