DESCRIPTION
The 8809K16 is a general-purpose toggle switch designed for AC/DC rated applications with a 1PDT (single-pole double-throw) contact configuration. It features maintained toggle action with quick-make/quick-break wiping contact mechanism using bronze silver-plated contacts to ensure reliable switching performance. The switch is rated at 6A, 125 Vac/Vdc and includes screw terminals (brass, designed to accept #5-40 x 5/32 in screws) for secure wiring connections. The base is constructed from thermostat molding material with a threaded bushing (0.468 in diameter, 32 threads/inch) and keyway anti-rotation feature. It operates reliably across a temperature range of 0°F to 150°F (-17.8°C to 65.6°C) and is commonly used in small motor applications, control panels, and general-purpose switching circuits where both AC and DC operation is required.
