DESCRIPTION
The 1620-3-5A is a single-pole thermal miniaturized circuit breaker designed for automotive applications, featuring a reset button (SAE type 3) and rated for 5A continuous current. It is designed to fit into fuse blocks conforming to ISO 8820-3, Type F, and meets the requirements of SAE J553. The device operates at DC 12V or DC 24V with a maximum voltage rating of DC 29.0V, and provides a voltage drop of less than 150 mV at rated current. It features an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, a service short-circuit breaking capacity of 300 operations at 2× rated current, and an ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity of at least 3 break operations at 150A or 1 break operation at 2,000A. The circuit breaker is particularly suitable for protection of electrical systems in passenger cars, trucks, buses, and watercraft, offering reliable overcurrent protection in inaccessible locations with color-coded housing (light brown for 5A rating) for easy identification.
