DESCRIPTION
FRN-R-80 is an Eaton Bussmann Fusetron Class RK5 dual-element, current-limiting, time-delay fuse designed for motor overload, ground fault, and short-circuit protection. The fuse is rated at 80A with a voltage rating of 250Vac (or 125Vdc for 110-200A range, 250Vdc for 225-600A range) and features a time-delay characteristic of 10 seconds minimum at 500% of rated current. It has an interrupting rating of 200kA Vac RMS Symmetrical and 20kA Vdc, and is UL 248-12 Class RK5 certified. The dual-element design allows the fuse to hold inrush currents up to five times the amp rating while providing high-performance short-circuit protection and overload protection. This fuse is ideal for circuits subject to temporary motor overloads and surge currents, helping prevent motor burnout and enabling selective coordination in electrical systems.
