DESCRIPTION
CMS2-1-R is a surface-mount common-mode inductor designed for EMI filtering in DC-DC brick power supplies, discrete output supplies, and point-of-use power supplies. The device features an open-circuit inductance of 25 µH (minimum) with a maximum RMS current rating of 5.35 A and a typical DC resistance of 0.005 O at 20°C for both winding pairs. It provides 300 Vdc isolation (winding-to-winding hipot rating) with a 1:1 turns ratio and leakage inductance of 0.22 µH, along with interconducting capacitance of 2.0 pF. The inductor utilizes ferrite core material, meets UL94V-0 flammability standards, and operates reliably across -40°C to +160°C ambient temperature range. Common applications include noise attenuation up to 44 dB across frequencies up to 100 MHz, making it ideal for high-frequency EMI suppression in power conversion and distribution systems.
