DESCRIPTION
The 2280G is a 16-position thumbheel switch from EECO's 2000 Series, engineered for demanding industrial control applications. It features a 0.500" width with PCB termination that accepts edge connectors and allows direct wiring, along with a tangential operating force of 6-18 oz and a minimum mechanical life of 1,000,000 detents. The switch is constructed with polycarbonate housing per Federal Spec LP-393A, corrosion-resistant metals, and bifurcated copper alloy contacts with gold over nickel plating, making it suitable for harsh environments. The 2280G is lead-free and RoHS compliant, with an optional internal O-ring seal (Buna-N) for enhanced environmental protection. Its large size enables easy operation even when wearing gloves, and it is backed by EECO's one-year warranty, making it an excellent choice for heavy-duty industrial control systems demanding high reliability.
