DESCRIPTION

The 7154MW is a 1 Pole Binary Coded Decimal (BCD) thumbwheel switch featuring 10 switching positions and PCB board termination, designed to meet demanding military performance specifications. This heavy-duty switch incorporates a unique one-piece polycarbonate housing with Buna-N O-ring seal that permanently protects contacts from moisture, dirt, and dust, and is rated for 50,000 rotational cycles across an operating temperature range of -65°C to +85°C (unlighted). Electrically, the switch handles a maximum switching load of 125 mA at 28 VDC or 115 VAC, with initial circuit resistance of 100 mO maximum and insulation resistance of 1,000 MO minimum; it withstands 750 VAC (RMS) dielectric voltage and operates with a tangential force of 6–20 oz. The switch is constructed with corrosion-resistant metals, gold-over-nickel plating on copper alloy contacts per MIL-45204, and glass epoxy PCB per MIL-P-13949, and is rated for harsh environmental conditions including 15 g vibration (10–2000 Hz), 100 g shock, 48-hour salt spray, and 70,000 ft altitude.
