DESCRIPTION
The 1554KGY is a General Purpose ABS plastic enclosure manufactured by Hammond in RAL-7035 gray color, designed for housing electronic components and assemblies. It features internal dimensions of 152.13 mm length × 82.13 mm width × 84.50 mm height, with external dimensions of 160.00 mm × 90.00 mm and a depth of 147.00 mm. The enclosure includes M3 brass inserts and M4 stainless steel inserts for secure component mounting, accepts #6 self-tapping screws, and comes with four mounting holes (Ø4.00 mm each) on the lid. The purchased assembly includes the box, lid, four cover screws, and a preformed silicone gasket, with a recommended cover screw torque of 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). While the ABS version is not UL approved (UL94 - HB rating), it is suitable for general-purpose applications requiring a durable, cost-effective enclosure solution for electronics, instrumentation, and control systems.
