Specialized 3090A Sensor from Honeywell is explosion-resilient and is designed for use over a wide range of speeds. It can adapt to a wide range of configurations. This explosion-proof sensor features self-powered operation and does not require an external power input for operation. It is simple to install and has no moving parts.
This particular Honeywell 3090A sensor has a wide range of applications like in oil and gas drilling equipment and machinery, process speed measurement on food, pharmaceutical industry machinery, motor speed measurement of electrical generating equipment, and other potentially explosive environments. These specialized sensors, also known as hazardous location Variable Reluctance Speed (VRS) sensors are designed to be used in unprotected places where explosion-proof or intrinsically safe sensors are required. They have a permanent integrated magnet that establishes a fixed magnetic field.
