DESCRIPTION
031-8703-001 is a wire hole filler component for ITT SURE-SEAL Mini connectors, specifically designed for use with stamped contacts supporting 0.5–1.0 mm² wire gauges. This filler is inserted into unused cavities within the connector housing to create a watertight seal and maintain the IP 67 sealing capability of the connector assembly. The product is constructed from Perbunan or Nitril-Butadien rubber for the housing and copper alloy with tin plate for contact surfaces, ensuring reliable performance in harsh environments. Operating across a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, the wire hole filler maintains its sealing integrity under demanding conditions including salt spray, humidity, and vibration exposure. This component is essential for applications requiring fully sealed multi-contact connectors in industrial, automotive, and marine environments where environmental protection and reliability are critical.
