DESCRIPTION
The DEMA-9P-K87 is a high-reliability D-Sub connector featuring 9 contacts (size 20) with crimp termination, designed for robust industrial and electronic applications. It supports a wire gauge range of AWG 20-28 (standard) or AWG 22-28 (high density) and is rated for a maximum current of 7.5 A with a contact resistance of 10 mO maximum. The connector features a steel shell with pure tin over nickel finish, a thermoplastic insulator (PCT UL 94V-0 rated), and gold over nickel plated copper alloy contacts, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and reliable performance. Operating over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 VAC at sea level, this connector is rated for 200 mating cycles and passes 24-hour salt spray testing. The pin gender configuration with 0.120" (3.05 mm) through-hole hardware makes it suitable for applications requiring durable, long-term connectivity in harsh environments such as aerospace, military, and industrial control systems.
