DESCRIPTION
The 096513-0327 is a Micro-D metal shell connector (MDM series, size 100) featuring 0.050" (1.27 mm) contact spacing with aluminum shells that provide electromagnetic (EMI) and RFI shielding, greater structural strength, and resistance to chipping and cracking. This connector accommodates 100 contacts with special arrangements of power and coaxial contacts, employing size 24 MICROPIN/MICROSOCKET contacts on 0.050" centers in a high-density configuration. The connector incorporates a silicone elastomer compression interfacial seal to provide moisture and humidity sealing between each contact. It meets rigorous environmental and performance standards including dielectric withstanding voltage of 600 VAC at sea level, insulation resistance of 5,000 megohms minimum, thermal shock capability from -55°C to +125°C, and contact resistance of 8 milliohms maximum at 3 amps. This connector is ideal for aerospace, military, and industrial applications requiring highly reliable, lightweight, moisture-sealed microminiature interconnections in space-constrained environments.
