DESCRIPTION
The 105-1044-001 is an insulated tip jack featuring a Rib-Loc® type design with a machined contact and turret terminal for reliable electrical connections. The contact is constructed from brass per QQ-B-626D with a wrap-around beryllium copper spring per QQ-C-553, finished with silver plating, and housed in a nylon 6/6 body per ASTM D4066. It supports panel thicknesses up to 0.375 inches (9.05 mm) and is rated for 5 amps continuous current with a breakdown voltage of 3500 Vrms minimum and contact resistance of 0.005 ohms maximum. The jack features a closed entry design that blocks access to probes greater than 0.085 inches (2.16 mm), and installs by simple press-fit into a 0.080 inch (2.00 mm) diameter mounting hole without requiring additional hardware. This design makes it ideal for test equipment, audio systems, and laboratory instruments where secure, low-resistance connections and ease of installation are essential.
