DESCRIPTION
The 138-4407-107 is a right-angle crimp plug Type N connector designed for RG-58 cable applications, featuring a brass body with tri-alloy plating (0.001 MN), gold-plated brass contacts, and TFE Teflon insulation. It operates across a frequency range of 0–11 GHz with 50-ohm impedance and a maximum VSWR of 1.35, supporting a working voltage of 335 VRMS at sea level and dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 VRMS minimum. The connector exhibits excellent RF performance with insertion loss of 0.30 dB maximum at 9 GHz, RF leakage of -90 dB minimum at 2–3 GHz, and third-order intermodulation products typically below -90 dBm. Mechanically, it provides mating torque of 7–10 in-lbs, coupling proof torque of 15 in-lbs minimum, and cable retention of 40 lbs minimum axial force, with durability rated for 500 cycles minimum. The connector operates reliably across -65°C to 165°C and meets MIL-PRF-39012 environmental standards, making it suitable for demanding RF and microwave applications in aerospace, military, and telecommunications systems.
