RTV103 - Black Silicone SealantRTV103 is a black, one-component, ready-to-use silicone sealant. It is commonly used for sealing, caulking, insulating, bonding, and formed-in-place gasketing.This black silicone adhesive cures to a tough, durable and resilient rubber on exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature. Acetic acid vapors are released from the sealant surface as a by-product of cure.RTV103 has a standard strength paste consistency and can be applied to vertical and overhead surfaces where pourable/self-leveling sealants are not practical. It is often used as a black silicone caulk for filling cracks or gaps, and is an ideal silicone for aquarium repair along seam lines.Because it utilizes a moisture cure system, this RTV silicone rubber glue should not be used in thicknesses greater than 6mm (1/4 in). Where section depths exceed 6mm (1/4 in.) we recommend using Momentive Performance Materials’ one-component addition cure or two-component silicone rubber compounds.For black and translucent silicone adhesives, try RTV103 or RTV108.
