DESCRIPTION
RTV106 is a red, one-component, ready-to-use high temperature silicone sealant.This red silicone cures to a tough, durable and resilient rubber on exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature. Acetic acid vapors are released from the sealant surface as a by-product of cure.Our red silicone sealant has a paste-like consistency, and can be applied to vertical and overhead surfaces where pourable/self-leveling sealants are not practical.Because it utilizes a moisture cure system, this RTV silicone rubber glue should not be used in thicknesses greater than 6mm (1/4 in). Where section depths exceed 6mm (1/4 in.) we recommend using Momentive Performance Materials’ one-component addition cure or two-component silicone rubber compounds.For white, black or translucent silicone adhesives try RTV102, RTV103, or RTV108, respectively.RTV162, RTV167, and 1035 are our electronics grade silicone adhesives.Our silicone-based products portfolio also includes silicone potting compounds and silicone conformal coatings.We also offer epoxy adhesives, epoxy potting compounds, and polyurethane potting compounds.
