DESCRIPTION
The SC628ADR is a medium sound level piezoelectric sounder designed for panel-mounted alarm and notification applications. It operates in continuous tone mode at a frequency of 1900 Hz ±300 Hz across a voltage range of 6 to 28 Vac/dc, with current draw ranging from 4 mA at 6 V to 15 mA at 28 V. The device produces a minimum loudness of 60 dB(A) at 2 feet with 6 Vac/dc input and reaches 75 dB(A) minimum at 2 feet with 28 Vac/dc, making it suitable for audible alarm signaling in industrial control panels, security systems, and equipment warning applications. Its molded black nylon housing with brass tin-plated terminals rated for #6-32 screws provides robust mechanical durability across operating temperatures from -30 °C to +65 °C, with storage capability from -40 °C to +85 °C.
