MCT6
The MCT6 is a general-purpose, dual-channel phototransistor optocoupler housed in an 8-pin DIP package for high-density applications. ...
DESCRIPTION
The MCT6 is a dual-channel optocoupler designed to provide electrical isolation between its input and output circuits. Each channel consists of a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode optically coupled to an NPN silicon phototransistor. This device features a minimum Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) of 20% with a 10 mA forward current and a collector-emitter voltage of 10 V. It has a low collector-emitter saturation voltage with a maximum of 0.4 V. The MCT6 is ideal for applications such as isolating high voltage transients between AC lines and digital logic, eliminating spurious grounds, and providing ground loop feedthrough elimination in line receivers.
