DESCRIPTION
The 7100251659 is a 3000 Series wiremount IDC socket designed for quick and reliable termination of .050” pitch flat cable. It accommodates both 26 and 28 AWG solid or stranded wires and features copper alloy contacts with 30 μ” gold plating for excellent conductivity. The insulator is made from UL 94V-0 rated glass-filled polyester, enabling an operating temperature range of -55°C to +105°C. Positive locking metal 'J' clips ensure high cover retention, and the socket is designed to mate with 3M headers and plugs, making it ideal for applications requiring robust and disconnectable cable-to-board connections.
