DESCRIPTION
929850-01-36-RA is a 3M Boardmount Socket from the 929 Series designed for reliable interconnection in PCB applications. This two-row socket accommodates 36 total contacts (18 per row) with 0.100" x 0.100" pitch spacing and straight solder tails for wave soldering. The socket features a tuning fork contact design with copper alloy contacts plated with 10 µ" [0.25 µm] gold on the wiping area and matte tin solder tails, housed in a glass-filled polyester (PCT) insulator rated UL 94V-0. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C with a maximum current rating of 2 amps per line at 65°C ambient, insulation resistance exceeding 5 × 10? O at 500 V DC, and withstanding voltage of 1,500 V RMS. The socket's solder standoffs facilitate production wave soldering, and an optional board retention feature is available, making it suitable for industrial and commercial applications requiring robust, high-density interconnections.
