DESCRIPTION
The 1896/5C-SL001 is a five-conductor communication cable featuring 20 AWG tinned copper conductors (7/28 stranding) with individual PVC insulation and an overall PVC jacket. The cable is constructed with 5 conductors cabled together at a minimum twist rate of 4.4 twists per foot, with color coding per Alpha Wire Color Code D (Black, Red, White, Green, Orange). It is rated for 300V RMS at 80°C per UL AWM/STYLE 2509 and meets CSA CMG FT4 standards at 60°C, with VW-1 flame rating. The cable operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C and exhibits a nominal conductor DC resistance of 10.2 O/1000 ft at 20°C, with a capacitance of 30 pF/ft at 1 kHz. This cable is ideal for control, instrumentation, and low-voltage signal applications in industrial and commercial environments where multi-conductor flexibility and regulatory compliance are required.
