DESCRIPTION
The 3049-YL005 is a single-conductor hookup wire manufactured by Alpha Wire, featuring a 26 AWG (7/34) tinned copper conductor with 0.016" nominal PVC insulation wall thickness and an overall diameter of 0.051" ± 0.002". It is rated for 300 V RMS operation and complies with UL AWM/STYLE 1007 (80°C) and AWM/STYLE 1569 (105°C) standards, as well as CSA International TR-64 (90°C) and FT1 specifications. The wire operates reliably across a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, with a maximum bend radius of 10 times the cable diameter and a pull tension rating of 2.18 lbs maximum. Electrical characteristics include a nominal inductance of 0.08 µH/ft and a conductor DC resistance of 41 O/1000ft at 20°C. This hookup wire is ideal for general-purpose wiring applications in electronic equipment, control systems, and instrumentation where reliable, flame-resistant connections are required, and it is available in multiple colors including yellow (YL005 designation).
