DESCRIPTION
The 6718-BK001 is a single-conductor 12 AWG hookup wire manufactured by Alpha Wire, designed for general-purpose electrical interconnections in industrial and commercial applications. The wire features a tinned copper conductor (65/30 stranding) with a 0.012-inch wall of modified polyphenylene ether insulation, providing a nominal outer diameter of 0.117 inches. It is rated for 600 V RMS at 105°C continuous operation and meets UL AWM/STYLE 11028 VW-1 and CSA C(RU) AWM I A/B FT1 standards, with halogen-free construction and compliance with IEC 60332-2 flame behavior requirements. The wire operates reliably across a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, exhibits a nominal inductance of 0.03 µH/ft, and has a conductor DC resistance of 1.75 O/1000 ft at 20°C.
