DESCRIPTION
6825-BK005 is an 18 AWG hookup wire designed for general-purpose electrical connections and wiring applications. The wire features a 19-strand bare copper conductor (0.046" diameter) with 0.008" wall modified polyphenylene ether insulation (0.062" ± 0.002" outer diameter), providing robust electrical and mechanical performance. It is rated for 300 VRMS at 110°C continuous operation and is halogen-free and RoHS 2 compliant, meeting EU Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC and ISO 6722 standards. The wire exhibits a conductor DC resistance of 6.6 O/1000 ft at 20°C and an inductance of 0.03 µH/ft, with a maximum pull tension of 12.6 lbs and a minimum bend radius of 10 times the cable diameter. Available in multiple colors including black, white, red, green, yellow, blue, brown, orange, and green/yellow, this wire is suitable for automotive, industrial control, and general-purpose wiring where halogen-free construction and temperature stability are required.
