DESCRIPTION
FIT-221-1/16-CL001 is a cross-linked polyolefin heat shrinkable tubing designed for wire and cable insulation, bundling, and protection applications. It features a minimum supplied inner diameter of 0.063 inches that shrinks to a maximum recovered inner diameter of 0.031 inches with an approximate 2:1 shrink ratio. The tubing operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 135°C, with a minimum shrink temperature of 90°C and full recovery at 121°C. It offers excellent mechanical properties including a minimum tensile strength of 1500 psi and minimum elongation of 200%, along with electrical properties such as dielectric strength of 500 V/mil minimum. This clear tubing meets AMS-DTL-23053/5 Class 2 specifications and is RoHS compliant, making it suitable for aerospace, military, and general industrial applications requiring reliable environmental protection.
