The FIT2211/2-CLEAR-5X4 is a clear, heat shrinkable tubing made from cross-linked polyolefin, designed for insulating and protecting electrical components. It features an approximate 2:1 shrink ratio, with a minimum supplied internal diameter of 0.500 inches that recovers to a maximum of 0.250 inches upon heating. The tubing has a nominal recovered wall thickness of 0.025 inches and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 135°C. Full recovery is achieved at 121°C, with shrinking initiated at a minimum temperature of 90°C. This tubing complies with AMS-DTL-23053/5 Class 2 standards and is ideal for applications where insulation, strain relief, and visual inspection of the underlying component are required.
