DESCRIPTION
The AC3M is an XLR 3-pole male connector designed for professional audio and entertainment interconnect applications. It features stamped contacts with nickel plating, a thermoplastic shell, and Amphenol's proprietary "Jaws" cable retention system that accommodates cable outer diameters from 3 mm to 6.5 mm (0.118" to 0.255"). The connector employs solder bucket connections and incorporates a leading first-mate last-break socket contact design for reliable signal integrity. Assembly is quick and easy, accomplished by hand or with a portable termination tool (Part number T2860), without requiring screws. The AC3M is ideal for professional audio systems, stage equipment, and studio installations where robust, field-serviceable XLR connections are essential.
