DESCRIPTION
The 69190-405HLF is a BERGSTIK II self-retaining header connector designed for high-reliability interconnect applications. This connector features a 0.100 inch (2.54 mm) pitch with a recommended hole pattern of 0.100±0.003 inches (2.54±0.08 mm) and pin diameter of 0.040±0.003 inches (1.02±0.08 mm). The product incorporates phos-bronze pins with lead-free plating and is constructed from high-temperature plastic material (nylon or PCT glass-fiber reinforced, flame retardant per UL-94V-O) capable of withstanding 260°C peak temperature exposure during wave solder, infrared, or vapor phase solder processes. The connector provides 5 lb (2.3 kg) maximum insertion force and 0.25 lb (0.1 kg) minimum retention force per retentive pin when used with 0.062 inch (1.57 mm) thick circuit boards. This self-retaining design is ideal for applications requiring secure, repeatable mating in industrial, telecommunications, and consumer electronics equipment.
