D3899933Z17R is a plug dust cap designed for MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connectors, offering environmental protection and keeping impurities out of the termination area when connectors are unmated. The product is available in multiple material and finish options including Aluminum Alloy with Cadmium, Black Zinc Nickel, Electroless Nickel, and Stainless Steel with Passivated or Electrodeposited Nickel finishes. It features QPL-approved stainless steel rope attachments available with or without ring, and is offered in various shell sizes (9 through 25) to accommodate different connector configurations. The dust cap operates across a wide temperature range of -65°C to +200°C depending on finish selection, with salt spray corrosion resistance up to 500 hours for most finishes. This product is ideal for aerospace, military, and harsh environment applications where connector protection and reliability are critical.
