DESCRIPTION
The AWM-8P is an 8-position heavy-duty multi-pin connector from the ATM Series, designed for smaller AWG applications with a maximum current rating of 7.5A and maximum voltage rating of 250V. The connector features an integrated latching system that ensures definitive electrical and mechanical connections, with IP68 and IP69K ratings in mated condition providing dust-tight and high-pressure waterproof protection. The housing is constructed from thermoplastic material (UL94-VO) with excellent UV resistance and superior environmental seals, while contacts are made from copper alloy with nickel plating and optional gold plating. Operating over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with silicone elastomer sealing material, the connector achieves minimum mating cycles exceeding 100 and demonstrates excellent fluid resistance to gas, oil, mineral oil, acid bath, and basic bath. This connector is ideal for demanding industrial applications including marine, heavy equipment, agricultural, automotive, and alternative energy systems where reliable, sealed interconnections are critical.
