DESCRIPTION
The 02973781 is an APEX® 150 unsealed female terminal designed for low-voltage automotive connector applications. It features tin (Sn) plating and accommodates wire sizes ranging from 0.35 to 0.5 mm² (24–20 AWG), making it suitable for fine-gauge wiring in compact assemblies. The terminal incorporates a two-piece construction with an integrated floating spring made of beryllium copper or copper nickel silicon, delivering low contact mating force (less than 5 N) and contact resistance below 2 mO. It is rated for a maximum current of 40 A and operates reliably at temperatures up to 150°C with vibration resistance to 30 G, meeting or exceeding USCAR performance standards. This terminal is commonly used in automotive electrical systems where reliable, high-performance connections are required in space-constrained environments.
