DESCRIPTION
The AXA05A18-L is an isolated DC-DC converter from Artesyn's AXA series designed for low-input applications requiring regulated 5 V output from a wide input voltage range. It features an ultra-wide 4:1 input range of 9–36 Vdc with 89% efficiency, delivering up to 5 A output current for a total power of 25 W. The converter is fully encapsulated in a compact 1.0 × 1.0 × 0.4 inch metal case with an isolated baseplate, providing 1,500 Vdc input/output isolation and supporting remote On/Off control with hiccup mode short-circuit protection. Operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C with output voltage tolerance of ±2.0%, it is well-suited for industrial, telecommunications, data center, and embedded system applications where reliable isolated power conversion is essential.
