DESCRIPTION
The DS1100PED-3 is a 1100W distributed front-end bulk power supply designed for business-critical embedded systems requiring continuous power delivery. It features a wide input voltage range of 90–264Vac at 47–63Hz frequency with peak efficiency of 94.0% and a power factor greater than 0.9 beginning at 20% load. The main DC output is nominally 12V with regulation range of 11.4V to 12.6V, output ripple of 120mVp-p maximum, and output current capability from 2A to 91.6A with active current sharing within ±5% of full load rating. The unit includes comprehensive protection features: over-current protection at 120–150%, over-voltage protection at 13.5–15.0V, under-voltage protection at 10.5–11.0V, over-temperature protection, and fan fault protection. It supports PMBus communication via I2C interface (SCL/SDA), remote on/off control (PSON), and provides status signals including PS_PRESENT, PS_INTERRUPT, and PWOK. The DS1100PED-3 is ideal for redundant power architectures, telecommunications infrastructure, and data center applications where reliability and monitoring capability are essential.
