DESCRIPTION
The DS1100SDC-3 is a 1100 W distributed power system bulk front-end DC-DC converter designed for high-density rack-mounted applications. It accepts a wide input voltage range of -36 to -72 VDC and provides a main 12 V output (up to 91.76 A) plus a 12 V standby output (up to 3.0 A), with peak efficiency of 90%. The unit is housed in a compact 1U form factor with exceptional power density of 24 watts per cubic inch, featuring active current sharing within ±5% of full load rating, N+1 or N+N redundant capability, and full digital control with PMBus compliance. Protection features include overcurrent (120–150%), overvoltage (13.5–15.0 V), undervoltage (10.5–11.0 V), overtemperature, and fan fault protection on the main output. The DS1100SDC-3 is ideal for telecommunications, data center, and distributed power architectures requiring high reliability, with an MTBF of 200,000 hours and operating temperature range of 0 to 50°C.
