DESCRIPTION
The 01002-10198 is a 2.5-inch solid shaft incremental encoder from BEI Sensors designed for industrial automation and hazardous location environments. This encoder features EMI shielding, high-precision ball bearings, and matched thermal coefficients on critical components to ensure reliable long-term operation. It meets IP66 sealing requirements when ordered with the shaft seal option and offers extensive electrical protection to reduce damage from miswiring. The encoder supports multiple output configurations including ABZ (dual quadrature with index) channels with complementary outputs, standard resolutions from 1 to 2500 ppr, and industry-standard connectors (M18, M16, M12).
