DESCRIPTION

The 8461-CHR-U500 is a two-conductor 18 AWG tinned copper cable with PVC insulation and PVC outer jacket, designed for low-voltage analog signals, digital control, and audio applications. The cable features 7x26 stranding with a nominal insulation wall thickness of 0.022 inches and an outer jacket diameter of 0.234 inches with 0.027 inches wall thickness. It operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C with a UL voltage rating of 300 V RMS, a maximum recommended current of 4.8 amps per conductor at 20°C ambient, and a conductor DC resistance of 5.86 Ohm/1000 ft. The cable meets UL 1685 FT4 flammability requirements, complies with RoHS and EU directives, and is suitable for indoor panel wiring, instrumentation, and low-level control systems where reliable signal transmission is required.
