DESCRIPTION

The 9740-CHR-U500 is a single-pair 18 AWG tinned copper control cable designed for low-voltage analog signals (4-20 mA, 0-10 V), digital control (24 V), line-level audio, computer communication, and panel wiring applications. The cable features 16x30 stranded tinned copper conductors with PVC insulation (0.013 in nominal wall thickness) and a PVC outer jacket (0.210 in nominal diameter, 0.032 in wall thickness), with a left-hand lay of 6 twists per foot. Electrical characteristics include a nominal DC resistance of 6.86 O/1000 ft, capacitance of 25.5 pF/ft, maximum recommended current of 4.8 A per conductor at 20°C ambient, and a UL voltage rating of 300 V. The cable operates over a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C, weighs 22 lbs/1000 ft, and has a minimum bend radius of 2.25 in, making it suitable for indoor installations requiring reliable signal transmission in control and communication systems.
