DESCRIPTION
FDSD096AK is an indoor/outdoor plenum-rated OS2 single-mode fiber distribution cable featuring 96 fibers organized into 8 subunits of 12 fibers each. The cable utilizes tight buffer construction with 8.2/125 µm fiber core diameter and 900 µm buffer diameter, protected by aluminum interlocked armor (AIA) for enhanced durability. It features a PVC outer jacket with a nominal diameter of 1.260 in (32.0 mm), waterblocking aramid yarn strength members, and an upjacketed GRP central strength member. The cable offers maximum attenuation of 0.50 dB/km at both 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths, with 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance up to 10,000 m at 1310 nm and 50,000 m at 1550 nm. Rated OFCP and FT6 for flammability, this cable is suitable for premise backbone applications in indoor/outdoor environments including direct burial installations, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C.
