DESCRIPTION

The 78PR500LF is a multi-turn trimmer potentiometer designed for precision resistance adjustment in electronic circuits. It features a cermet resistive element with a 1-1/4" rectangular molded plastic housing and side adjustment capability via an adjustment screw. The device offers a standard resistance range from 10 ohms to 2 megohms with ±10% tolerance (±20% for values under 100 ohms), and provides essentially infinite resolution with a nominal electrical travel of 22 turns. Operating specifications include a maximum input voltage of 300 Vdc or rms, maximum slider current of 100 mA, and a power rating of 1.0 watt at 70°C derating to 0 watts at 125°C, with dielectric strength rated at 500 Vrms and minimum insulation resistance of 1,000 megohms. This trimmer is commonly used in instrumentation, calibration circuits, and applications requiring precise resistance tuning with excellent long-term stability and reliability.
