DESCRIPTION

The 3224W-2-501E is a surface-mount 4 mm square multiturn cermet trimming potentiometer designed for industrial applications requiring sealed, board-wash-resistant construction. This device features a 500 ohm resistance value with ±10% tolerance, essentially infinite resolution, and a 12-turn adjustment angle, providing precise tuning capabilities. The trimmer exhibits low contact resistance variation of 1% or 3 ohms maximum, with an insulation resistance of 100 megohms at 500 VDC and dielectric strength of 600 VAC. The W-style top-adjust design includes a 0.6 mm wide by 0.5 mm deep adjustment slot, meets EIA/EIAJ/IPC/VECI SMD standards, and is RoHS compliant and halogen-free. This potentiometer is ideal for precision calibration and tuning applications in industrial electronics, instrumentation, and consumer devices where compact size and reliability are essential.
