DESCRIPTION
The 3549S-1AE-502A is a 10-turn precision potentiometer manufactured by Bourns, featuring a wirewound element with 5K ohms resistance and ±0.2% independent linearity (±0.1% maximum practical). It delivers high rotational life with a mechanical angle of 3600° ±10°, backlash of 1.0° maximum, and an effective electrical angle of 3600° ±10°, -0°. The potentiometer operates with a maximum wiper current of 20 mA at 5K ohms, dielectric withstanding voltage of 1,000 VAC minimum, and insulation resistance of 1,000 megohms minimum at 500 VDC. With a power rating of 2 watts at +70°C and gold-plated solder lug terminals, this device is RoHS compliant and designed for HMI and MMI applications, offering excellent performance under side load conditions with optional servo mount and dual ball bearing configurations.
