DESCRIPTION
The 51CAD-E16-B17L is a sealed 1/2" (12.5 mm) square control potentiometer manufactured by Bourns for professional audio applications. It features conductive plastic or cermet resistive elements with linear and audio taper options, supporting resistance ranges from 1 kO to 1 MO for conductive plastic and 150 O to 1 MO for cermet variants. The device includes a metal bushing and shaft, is sealed for board washing, and offers PC board and bushing mount configurations with gangable capability. Resistance tolerance specifications include ±10% or ±20% for linear tapers and ±10% or ±20% for audio tapers on conductive plastic, with ±10% or ±5% for linear and ±10% for audio on cermet elements.
