DESCRIPTION

The 5900-153-RC is a high-current choke from Bourns' 5900 Series, designed for EMI filtering and power supply applications requiring high inductance values. It features a ferrite bobbin core with 15,000 µH (15 mH) inductance at 1 kHz, a maximum DC resistance of 11.5 O, and a self-resonant frequency of 0.25 MHz. The component is rated for a saturation current of 0.21 A and a continuous rated current of 0.19 A, with VW-1 rated shrink tubing covering the winding for safety and dielectric strength of 2500 Vrms. Operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, this choke is ideal for high-inductance filtering in power conversion circuits, audio equipment, and industrial power supplies where space constraints and high current handling are critical design considerations.
